Worshipful Living

What does it mean to live as a Christian who worships God? What are some of the marks of such a life, and make us different that non-Christians? During January and February, we are having a sermon series on the book of James. Often James is seen only as a letter full of moral commands. But James instructions teach us to live into our salvation for the glory of God. We pray that this series will broaden our understanding of and participation in worshipful living as God’s people in this world.

Moving into the Neighbourhood

The gospel of John begins with the announcement that “the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” This is a fancy way of saying that Christ Jesus moved into the neighbourhood when he was born as a baby on this earth. During the Advent season and Christmas day, we will follow Christ as he continues to move through our neighbourhoods with blessing, prayer, invitation, and sharing.

What is your relationship with God?

“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name;
you are mine.”
-Isaiah 43:1b

Psalm 33:20-22

“We wait in hope for the Lord;
   he is our help and our shield.
In him our hearts rejoice,
   for we trust in his holy name.
May your unfailing love be with us, O Lord,
   even as we put our hope in you.”
