Sahali Fellowship is a family of faith in Kamloops, British Columbia and a congregation in the Christian Reformed Church of North America.
We believe being God’s family means that we are delighted to live the good news of God by blessing others, praying together, inviting over, and sharing the riches of God’s family.
We bless by expressing encouragement to each other, staying connected,
responding to those who are hurting,
and serving in our community.
We surround each other
with prayer
in a variety of ways
across age groups
while inquiring and listening
to each other.
We invite people over
to play with us,
to eat with us,
to worship with with us,
to study the Bible with us,
and into Christ
and the Sahali Fellowship family.
We share the riches of God’s family by listening to God’s word and the Holy Spirit,
telling our faith stories,
and training children and adults to be full, active participants in the faith.

Children are part of God’s people and an integral part of our church family at Sahali Fellowship. Children participate in the life of the church, whether in service, worship, prayer, or listening to God’s Word. Likewise, our community builds relationships between children and adults of all ages. As children grow, we disciple them not only in the tenets of the Christian faith, but also in their ability to discern God’s ways and live a Godly life of forgiveness, grace, and gratitude.
When you worship with us on a Sunday morning…
…children and youth worship God with the congregation. We welcome the wonderful sounds children make as we teach them how to worship!
…children and youth share prayer requests, thanksgivings or testimonies during our time of shared prayer, just like the adults.
…younger children who are able to be independent of their parents are welcome to join Sunday School during the sermon. Just as those in the worship space will hear God’s Word, so too will the younger children hear God’s Word.
…for older children who can read and youth, we encourage them to listen to God’s Word with the adults. A worksheet or other activity is often available during the sermon at a table in the back of the worship space. These are tools to help the kids listen and understand the sermon.
…children return from Sunday School before the end of the worship service so that as a whole community, we receive God’s blessing as we begin a new week.

What Child Is This?

This Advent season (the four Sundays before Christmas), the sermons at Sahali Fellowship will be asking “what child is this?” At Christmas, we celebrate the birth of Jesus, often using a variety of names for Jesus: Jesus, God’s Only Son, Our Lord, Emmanuel, and Christ. But have we really thought about what those names really mean? By exploring these names of Jesus, we pray that Jesus will be known and proclaimed: Joy to the World!
NOTE regarding worship schedule: We will worship twice on December 24. Once at 9:45 am and at 6 pm for our Christmas Eve Candlelight service. There is no English language service on Christmas Day. (There will be a Korean language service.)
